DFL gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton, a recovering alcoholic who admitted late last year to a brief relapse while in the U.S. Senate, has agreed to appear at the lefty happy-hour gathering known as Drinking Liberally to discuss his candidacy.
Dayton will speak to the group sometime this summer at the 331 Club in northeast Minneapolis. He's the last major DFL gubernatorial candidate to speak to the group, which mixes alcohol and progressive political talk.
Dayton's campaign said he will, of course, not be drinking. The campaign said they are trying to firm up a date for his visit.
