Lobbyists, lawmakers and Capitol dwellers of all sorts, it's time to mark your calendars: the Minnesota House has set its legislative calendar for 2012.

The session will start on January 24 and finish sine die on April 30. If that schedule sticks, the April 30 session end would be the earliest end of session since 1998, according to records kept by the state's Legislative Reference Library.

The calendar includes three scheduled breaks: a one day break on Jan. 25 for the One Minnesota Conference; a precinct caucus break from Feb. 2 to Feb. 7 with business restarting on Feb. 8, and an Easter/Passover break from April 6 to April 13, with business restarting on April 16.

Update: This is the House schedule. The Senate has yet to release its schedule. Senate spokesman Michael Brodkorb said the Senate schedule may be identical to the House schedule or there may be some differences.
