The next steps in the process to determine Minnesota's political districts are becoming clearer.

In a scheduling order filed Thursday, the court panel that will decide their shape told parties they should have their proposed redistricting plans to the court by Nov. 18 and that the court would have a hearing on the plans on Jan. 4.

The court is now conducting public hearings on redistricting across the state. To see the list of those click here.

Unless the Legislature and the governor agree to a redistricting plan, considered unlikely given the divided power at the Capitol, the court will release its maps by February 21.
