It is Sunday and it has been a long week at the Capitol but the domed building will still be bustling.
At 2 p.m., Republican legislative leaders and DFL Gov. Mark Dayton are due to meet in a closed door budget negotiating session. They will do so with the knowledge that there is almost no chance they can complete a compromise state budget by lawmakers' Monday adjournment deadline.
At 4 p.m., both the House and Senate will meet in rare Sunday floor session. The agenda for those sessions is not yet clear.
As of Sunday morning, neither the House nor Senate had put anything on the public schedule for Monday.
