DFLer Mark Dayton said he has a fundraiser scheduled for Dec. 13 to raise money for the gubernatorial recount that will be headlined by former President Bill Clinton and big dog Democratic donor George Soros. It will be held at Soros' home in New York City.
Also, he says he's asked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other senators, including Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, to host a fundraiser for him in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 15.
Earlier this week, Dayton's campaign said it had raised $1 million to wage the recount fight. Republican Tom Emmer's campaign hasn't released its fundraising figures.
