Minnesota's Democratic party committees appear to have outraised their Republican counterparts, according to reports filed so far with the campaign finance board. The numbers follow the same pattern set in the August reports.

The Democratic numbers for the period ending :

  • The Minnesota DFL House caucus raised $2 million and spent $1.6 million. It ended the reporting period with $730,000 in cash.
  • The Minnesota DFL Senate caucus raised $1.95 million and spent $1.7 million. It ended the period with about $550,000 in cash.
  • As of 11 am the state DFL's report was not online at the campaign finance board but last reporting period, in August, it had raised more than double its Republican counterpart. According to a copy of DFL report, the party has raised $6.2 million, spent $6 million and had $206,000 cash on hand.

The Republican numbers:

  • The HRCC, the Minnesota House Republicans' campaign committee, raised $1 million, spent $1.3 million and had an ending balance of $80,000. (The numbers are incorrect on the campaign finance Web site but the caucus is working to correct.)
  • The Minnesota Senate Republicans' Victory Fund raised about $470,000, spent about $350,000 and had about $280,000 in cash at the end of the reporting period.
  • The Republican Party of Minnesota raised $1.97 million, spent $2 million and had an ending balance of $27,000, with a $30,000 loan from Alliance Bank outstanding at the end of the reporting period.
