Overnight lane closures on Hwy. 5

Heading to the MSP airport? Be ready for delays

October 1, 2012 at 6:19PM

Motorists heading to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport will encounter evening lane closures on Hwy.5 today through Saturday.

The left lane and shoulder of westbound Hwy. 5 between Hwy. 55 and the Lindbergh Terminal 1 entrance will be shut down from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

The right lane and shoulder of eastbound Hwy. 5 from Post Road to Glumack Drive also will be closed from 7 p.m. to about 5 a.m., MnDOT said.

It's all to allow crews to install new runway towers and lights.
