For the 13th year, north Minneapolis celebrates its thriving arts community with three days of art-filled celebrating that started with a block party Thursday evening.
Founded by Dudley Voigt, this self-guided tour showcases the galleries, studios and commercial spaces of the W. Broadway corridor. Friday is a day of receptions and ticketed events followed by a Saturday takeover by more than 300 artists.
Juxtaposition Arts will unveil a skate plaza at W. Broadway and Emerson Avenue N., the site of its future building. Plus the now-famous hot dog-selling teenager, Jaequan Faulkner, will be there with his stand.
"It feels like a family reunion," Juxtaposition CEO DeAnna Cummings said of Flow. "Even if you are not from the North Side, it feels like family you didn't know you had."
(3-10 p.m. Fri., 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sat., various locations in north Mpls. Info at flownorthside.org)
