Rising country star Thomas Rhett's local debut as an arena headliner will have to wait a month: The "Die a Happy Man" singer has postponed Friday's concert at Xcel Energy Center until Nov. 29 due to illness.

All tickets to this week's show will be honored at the makeup date, which now falls on a Wednesday night. Check the Xcel Center site for more ticket info. Opening acts Old Dominion and Walker Hayes are still scheduled to open.

Rhett, 27, also had to postpone dates this week in Brookings, S.D. (now Dec. 1) and Omaha (Dec. 2). He hasn't yet made a statement or more specifics on his ailment. The Georgia native, who's a son of fellow countryman Rhett Akins, is also due back in the Twin Cities next year as the opening act for Kenny Chesney's U.S. Bank Stadium concert on May 5.
