GINGERBREAD WONDERLAND

If the idea of building a gingerbread house seems daunting, head to the Norway House for inspiration. Modeled after Norwegian communities that build replicas of their cities, the Norway House brings this tradition to Minnesota. Local bakers from Crave, Coup d'Etat, Wuollet Bakery as well as hobby bakers have created a display of the Twin Cities landscape made out of gingerbread. See the Guthrie Theater, Stone Arch Bridge and even Dave's Popcorn, all featured with icing and candy embellishments. (10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fri.-Sat.; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun. Ends Jan. 15. $5-$6. Norway House, 913 E. Franklin Av., Mpls. 612-871-2211. norwayhouse.org.)
