The Minnesota Capitol's massive renovation is well underway and has already created changes in the "People's Building."
As of Thursday, Gov. Mark Dayton and his staff have been booted from his Capitol office. They have been relocated down the mall to the Veterans Services Building on 20 West 12th Street in St. Paul.
On July 1, the Capitol rotunda, one of the tour highlights in the century old building, will be closed for the construction and protective coverings will be installed. The Capitol's East Wing on the ground and first floors will also close.
On July 12, a Saturday, the entire Capitol will lose power for the day as part of the overhaul project.
