A Carver County sheriff's deputy was in satisfactory condition Friday afternoon after his car collided head-on with another vehicle Thursday.
Deputy Erick Boder was driving north on Jonathan Carver Parkway in the city of Carver around 9:15 p.m. when a southbound vehicle, driven by Jason Horowitz, crossed the centerline and hit Boder's squad car, authorities said.
An off-duty Carver firefighter driving behind Horowitz provided aid.
Boder, 40, was extracted from his car and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Horowitz, 46, was transported to HCMC. He was in satisfactory condition Friday.
