The Prior Lake-Savage school district has chosen two finalists for the superintendent job that will be vacated when Superintendent Tom Westerhaus steps down at the end of the school year.

After conducing a first round of interviews from April 8 to 10, the school board has chosen Sue Ann Gruver, assistant superintendent of Mahtomedi Public Schools in Lake Elmo, and Leslie Steinhaus, superintendent of Wisconsin's Whitewater Unified School District as finalists.

Gruver's second interview will take place at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, and Steinhaus' will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Westerhaus decided to leave the job after an employee that he had recommended for termination, Chris Lind, was elected to the school board. He will work as superintendent next year in Wisconsin's River Falls school district.
