Theft. Officers responded to a home on the 1200 block of 146th Lane NW regarding a theft. Someone stole beer from the refrigerator located in the garage. The overhead garage door was left open.

Theft. Officers responded to a home on the 15000 block of Uplander Street NW. regarding a theft. Someone stole a snowboard and miscellaneous sports equipment from the garage. The overhead garage door was left open.

BLAINE

JAN. 23

Theft. Officers responded to LA Fitness, 100 Northtown Drive NE., regarding a theft. A woman told officers someone entered her unlocked locker and stole $575 from the wallet in her purse.

JAN. 29

Burglary. Officers responded to a home on the 11500 block of Yancy Court NE. regarding a burglary. A safe containing $27,000 cash and $20,000 in jewelry was stolen.

JAN. 30

Theft. Officers responded to Mills Fleet Farm, 10250 Lexington Av. NE., regarding a theft. A 16-year-old girl opened a pack of peanut butter crunch bars off the shelf, ate some and put it back on the shelf. After being confronted by a loss prevention employee, the girl paid for the food and her parents were contacted.

FEB. 3

Burglary. A newspaper delivery person called police to report front windows being broken at Get-n-Go, 8550 Lexington Av. NE. It appeared that cigarettes worth $4,500 were stolen.

COON RAPIDS

JAN. 27

Theft. A woman from an apartment on the 3900 block of 119th Avenue NW. called police to report that her child's Leapfrog video game, along with three game cartridges, were missing. There were no suspects.

FEB. 3

Theft. A man called police to report a theft from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in Mercy Hospital's parking lot, 4050 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW. He said someone had stolen his wallet and his wife's purse.

FRIDLEY

FEB. 6

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report that there was a large opossum in the backyard of a home on the 6300 block of 7th Street NE. An officer was unable to locate the opossum and advised the resident to use a live trap to contain it if it returns.

FEB. 7

Suspicious activity. A woman from the 5800 block of 5th Street called to report that her vehicle alarm sounds off. She said she believes her neighbors have something that causes this to happen. The woman stated that the alarm on her daughter's vehicle goes off as well, but only when the neighbors are around. An employee from a car dealership offered suggestions to the woman.

Welfare check. Someone called police to report that a man was lying in the road on the 5200 block of Central Avenue NE. An officer located an intoxicated 59-year-old man who was experiencing hypothermia. He was transported to a hospital.

FEB. 9

Suspicious activity. A woman from an apartment on the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE. called police to report that her neighbor below was sending electrical currents through the floorboards. An officer investigated and determined that the complaint was unfounded.

OAK GROVE

FEB. 5

Drunken driving. A woman called police to report that she was drunk and lost and that her vehicle was stuck in a snowbank in someone's yard. Officers were able to use the latitude and longitude on her cell phone to find her on the 21600 block of Cedar Drive NW. She told the officers she only started drinking after she became stuck. However, she could not produce any alcohol containers for the officers. The 49-year-old Oak Grove woman was arrested for drunken driving.
