Protesters demand justice in shooting

Myriah Elliott and Jonathan O’Neal, cousins of Terrence Franklin, teared up Friday during a rally for Franklin at the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis. Franklin was shot and killed by police on May 10. About 250 protesters gathered to decry the shooting, which came after a struggle with police following a foot chase in Uptown. With family members of Franklin standing with them, speakers called for an independent investigation of the shooting and marched for blocks, chanting “justice” and “prosecute police.”
