Suspicious activity. Authorities received a report that a resident in the 5000 block of 126th Street saw a man jump over his back yard fence at 2 a.m. The resident's wife said he chased the man out of his yard but lost track of him after that. Authorities received a call a short while later reporting the resident was now chasing a different man in the area. A deputy checked but was unable to locate the men he was chasing.

LAKE ELMO

MAY 3

Noise complaint. A juvenile music group was reported playing too loudly in the 4000 block of Little Bluestem Trail. A deputy advised them to cease.

OAKDALE

MAY 5

Suspicious activity. A patrol officer spotted a woman walking near the softball fields at Walton Park, 1584 Hadley Av., at 3:45 a.m. The woman told the officer she has sleeping issues and goes to the park to pick up trash when she can't sleep.

MAY 5

Animal complaint. A resident in the 500 block of Greenway Avenue told police a pit bull had entered her home and she couldn't get it to leave. An officer detained the dog in the kitchen and brought it home. A woman at that residence was issued a citation for dog at large.

MAY 6

Theft. All four sides of a vinyl pole tent were stolen from the parking lot of Patio Town, 6300 Hwy. 36 Blvd.

MAY 7

Theft. The belongings of two people were reported stolen from in front of Mills Fleet Farm, 5635 Hadley Av. The two told police they had no permanent address and had left their belongings in bags on Hadley while they went into the store.

Disturbance. A juvenile was reported throwing rocks in the 6300 block of Upper 13th Street. The complainant told an officer he and some other kids didn't want to play with the juvenile and he started throwing rocks at them. All parties were advised not to play together if they can't get along.

PINE SPRINGS

MAY 6

Suspicious activity. A man in an SUV parked in a cul-de-sac was reported to be looking into a residence in the 6000 block of Hilton Court. The complainant thought he might be the ex-husband of the home's previous owner and was concerned there could be trouble because he did not know his ex-wife no longer lived there.

SCANDIA

MAY 3

Suspicious activity. A woman who was with a man in a red truck was reported asking about wood from trees cut down by the city in the 15000 block of Pilar Road. Some of the wood, which had been left for the property owners, was reported missing after she left the area.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

MAY 5

Suspicious activity. Someone reported broken auto glass spread out in a line across 22nd Street west of Manning Avenue. The caller told authorities that they had cleaned it up.

WOODBURY

MAY 5

Missing child. A 5-year-old boy who had left his home was found several blocks away on Interlachen Parkway south of Valley Creek Road. He was returned home unharmed.

MAY 9

Littering complaint. Someone reported witnessing the employee of a store in the 8300 block of Tamarack Village dump several pop cans into the parking lot. The complainant said he argued with the employee, who refused to pick up the cans, and then spoke to the manager of the store, who didn't seem to care. An officer contacted the manager, who said she would take the employee outside to clean up.
