5:45 a.m. update: Slush is slowing down the rush

Wet roads and slush are slowing down the rush and contributing to spinouts and wrecks.

The newest is on southbound Hwy. 100 at 70th Street in Edina. A motorist spun out and landed on the snow bank facing sideways. Look for brake lights to come on around Benton Avenue.

The crash on eastbound 94 at Marion Street is now gone.  Westbound traffic is starting to build from Woodbury into downtown St. Paul. Speeds drop to about 40 miles per hour approaching 694.

Maple Grove drivers are experiencing a slow roll from Brockton Lane to 494/694. A vehicle in the ditch at Maple Grove Pkwy. is attracting lots of attention.
