The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating after a fire destroyed a popular drive-in restaurant in Eveleth.
Flames were leaping from the Wee Z's K & B Drive-In off Hwy. 53 when crews from four departments arrived at 7 a.m. Sunday. Part of the building had to be torn down.
"We did the best we could, but the building was a total loss," the Eveleth Fire Department and Ambulance Service said in a Facebook posting.
No one was hurt.
Wee-Z's was billed as serving American fare, including fried appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, malts and shakes, according to a menu on its Facebook page.
