TC Ticket Insider, launched Friday by Actors Theater of Minnesota, brings back discounted tickets to local theaters. Users can go to the low-tech site to check the list half-price productions. It's no more than a handwritten list on a white board sitting in front of a webcam.

The shows currently on sale include "We Gotta Bingo" for Friday, Jan. 22 ($34.50 including dinner), "Die, Mommy, Die" at the Brazen Theatre on Jan. 29, 30, 31, Feb. 5, 6, 7 ($8.08), Stevie Ray's at the Sheraton Bloomington ($7.50), Amy & Freddie at Camp Cabaret on Jan. 27 ($5).

Other theaters that will be contributing tickets soon include Mixed Blood, Urban Samurai, Theatre Or and Vanity Theatrics.

Call 651-290-2290 to charge tickets over the phone. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. Hours are Monday through Friday noon to 5 p.m. Representatives from Actors Theater said that Ticket Insider is hoping to add more theaters soon.

In 2008 TC Tix, a part of the Minneapolis Official Convention and Visitors Association, entered into an agreement with Ticketmaster and the curtain slowly descended. By early 2009 it was gone, said Kelly Doohen of Meet Minneapolis.
