The annual tent/garage sale at Cooks of Crocus Hill (877 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, 651-228-1333) is large this year, said co-owner Marie Dwyer. It's the addition of closeouts from the Stillwater store, Chef's Gallery. Dwyer said there are lots of kitchen tools, cookware, tabletop, linens, knives and furniture.

On Saturday from 10 to 4 Saturday, Fun Sisters (4253 Nicollet Av. S., Mpls. 612-822-9872) will have its annual tent sale with discounts of 50 percent or more on purses, jewelry, shoes and clothing. Sample sale prices: $6 for jewelry that was $15 - $18, $5 for bracelets that were $10 - $15, and $10 - $15 for clothing that was up to $40. The regular store will also be open for the sale. owner patsy Skiba is especially hot on the bag that looks exactly like the one Pippa Middleton wore. It's $42 at the Fun Sisters.

During Eversharp's annual tent sale, knives are sharpened for $1 each, serrated knives $2, and household scissors $4, with a limit of 10 per visit. The factory store will also sell a Classic set of six Wüsthof Trident knives and block for $229, regularly $580. At Amazon, the sets sell for $300, but 100 of the sets that Eversharp is offering are also signed on the block by Harald Wüsthof, the seventh-generation member to run the German family business. A new Wüsthof 8-inch offset deli/panini knife with a Blackwood handle sells for $79 at the sale ($160 at Amazon).
