With Dr. Dre busy selling headphones (tons and tons of headphones), it looks like it's up to his fans to keep the gangsta rap pioneer's music alive. On Saturday (Dre's birthday), the crew at Burlesque of North America return with its annual Dre Day celebration at the Triple Rock. It's a big year – the 10th anniversary, in fact, of this non-stop party. The event will sell out, so get your tickets before they're gone.

The lineup includes members of Heiruspecs performing as the LBC Drama Club ("With so much drama in the LBC …"). The group's lead rapper, Felix, will host the night. The crew will perform many of Dr. Dre's classic productions live on stage. Also performing is the DJ team of Jimmy 2 Times and Plain Ole Bill (Get Cryphy).

As always, Burlesque has a truckload of Dre Day merchandise to commemorate the party, most of which you can buy online now. There are Dre Day stickers, a 40-oz koozie, a T-shirt and set of Dr. Dre magnetic refrigerator poetry!

Party details: 9 p.m. Sat. Triple Rock, 629 Cedar Av., Mpls. $12 advance/$15 door. 21 and older. More info on Facebook.
