The kids are all right

"Black-ish" may have started off as a little too strident, but it's settled in to become one of TV's most satisfying new sitcoms, thanks in large part to the cast of children who more often than not steal the show from grown-ups Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. The kids get to show off their mischievous powers in this new episode in which dad, feeling they have gotten too spoiled, forces them to get jobs. 8:31 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Reality check

On a new episode of "Nashville," Rayna (Connie Britton) performs on "Dancing With the Stars" while Will (Chris Carmack) and Layla (Aubrey Peeples) prepare to launch their own reality show. At this rate, how long is it before Hayden Panettiere's Juliette appears as "The Bachelorette"? 9 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5

Recent history

You can wax nostalgic about the early years of "SNL," but the fresher crops have fared quite well for themselves, as we're reminded of in "Saturday Night Live in the 2000s: Time and Again." The documentary, which first aired in 2010, reminds us that the class in question includes Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Tracy Morgan, Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig. 10 p.m. VH1
