Something for everyone

If you're one of those people who insist that they like all kinds of music, you'll feel right at home during the second night of "The iHeartRadio Music Festival" (7 p.m., WUCW, Ch. 23). The lineup includes Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Ke$ha, Drake, Tim McGraw and Maroon 5.

Tone deaf

Mindy Kaling hates music festivals (sorry, iHeartRadio organizers), a fact that the writers of "The Mindy Project" (8:30 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) exploit in this new episode that also features one of the characters trying to revive his DJ career. Does this mean we no longer have to put up with grating guest star James Franco?

Get ready to rumble

Jesse Ventura, who has gone from Minnesota governor to international conspiracy theorist, shares his latest outrage on "Totally Biased With Kamau Bell" (10 p.m., FXX), a fast-paced talk show that deserves more attention — and a better time slot than one going up against "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," a show that's similar in tone and quality.
