Friday-Sunday 11/25-27
Truly one for obsessive fans only, the new documentary "Color Me Obsessed: The Potentially True Story of the Replacements" had a sold-out local premiere in April and is being brought back by Sound Unseen to coincide with Friday's third annual Replacements tribute at First Avenue. The film doesn't feature a single 'Mats member nor even their music -- just stories about their insanity, and testimonials to their impact. Participants include other musicians (Craig Finn, Colin Meloy, Lori Barbero, Chris Osgood) and many, many random fans (as random as Tom Arnold and Norm from "Cheers"). It's as tedious and monotonous as it is fun and zany.
