Clubbing with putters

It's time to bust out those plaid knickers (or any other ridiculous ensemble) for the 10th annual Pub & Putt Classic. Saturday's mini-golf bar crawl hits 14 downtown Minneapolis bars — each with its own hole — in a three-block radius around 1st Avenue N. and 5th Street. Teams of four will throw down on the makeshift greens before the 6 p.m. post-party at First Avenue with live music, prizes and the "Costume Cage Match." Registration is full, but spectators are welcome.

10:30 a.m., Sat. March 7, 21-plus, www.pubandputt.com

Booz-ical chairs

The childhood game has been adapted for adults for the Twin Cities Musical Chairs Championship at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall. Set to a live band, the seat-snatching competition is open to all ages (so keep it in check) with proceeds benefiting the Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute, which helps under-resourced students with homework and writing skills.

7 p.m., Wed. March 11, $11-$15, all ages, 6 W. 6th St., St. Paul, www.amsterdambarandhall.com
