'Future Cities' published by Bascom Hill press, a collection of quirky sci-fi stories.

The Twin Cities small press Bascom Hill has published “Future Cities,” a quirky collection of science fiction by John Jodzio, Katie Sisneros, Becky Lang and a host of others — some from the Twin Cities, some not. Jodzio is also one of the anthology’s editors, and the author of “Get in if You Want to Live,” and “If You Lived Here You’d Already Be Home.” The book is a current offering of Coffee and Books at Dunn Bros.

• “Earth in Anger: Twenty-Five Poems of Love and Despair for Planet Earth,” by James Lenfestey, will be published in April by Red Dragonfly Press. Lenfestey, of Minneapolis, has published essays and poetry and is co-editor of “Robert Bly in This World.” He will read at 7 p.m. April 22 at Birchbark Books, Mpls.

• “Override,” a young-adult novel by Heather Anastasiu, has been published by St. Martin’s Press. Anastasiu, who lives in Minneapolis, is the author of “Glitch.”

MaryJanice Davidson’s paranormal romance “Undead” series continues with “Undead and Underwater,” published by Berkley. Davidson lives in Hastings.

• “When Stravinsky Met Nijinsky,” a picture book written and illustrated by Lauren Stringer, has been published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Stringer lives in Minneapolis.

• “A Love Affair With Birds: The Life of Thomas Sadler Roberts,” by Sue Leaf, will be published in May by the University of Minnesota Press. Leaf is the author of “Potato City” and “The Bullhead Queen.” She lives in central Minnesota.

• “Determined to Matter,” by Jen O’Hara, will be published in May by Scarletta Press of Minneapolis. The memoir is the story of O’Hara’s daughter, Shannon, who died of a brain tumor at the age of 12. Jen O’Hara grew up in Rochester and graduated from the University of St. Thomas.

• “The Last Kind Word,” by David Housewright, will be published in June by Minotaur. Housewright is a St. Paul mystery writer whose work has won an Edgar Award and two Minnesota Book Awards.
