Just in time for holiday shopping, Walker Art Center will open a new mini-store Nov. 17 featuring products designed by Minnesota artists.

Products will include a few Only-At-The-Walker items. The first of these exclusives is a set of 6 pint glasses designed by Minnesota artists Christy Johnson, Craig Eliason, Steven Lang, Max Mose, Andy Ducett and Michon Weeks. Designs on their glassware range from Babe the Blue Ox to a strung-out version of the word "ambivalent." Price of the set is TBA but it will linclude a voucher for two beers at the Walker's recently redesigned restaurant, Gather by D'Amico.

Other products promised for the launch include wool-felt toys by Timothy Haugen; toy food made from polymer clay by Amelia Schmelzer, a Northfield high school student; whimsical stuff (stitchery, jewelry) whipped up by Stacey Thompson; clothing, prints and bags by Duluth desiger Tommy Kronquist; tinsy-tiny concrete towns by Chelsea Raine Thorson; more itsy-bitsy felted trinkets by Dan Sattler-Reimer of St. Paul; braille mugs by Minnesota ceramicist Jeff Longtin; wooden tree-toys by Justin and Kathleen Smith
