What's Guthrie theater favorite Sally Wingert, who also has performed on some rather large stages, including in London and Broadway, doing at a teeny, 24-seat venue in St. Paul?

She's playing Diana Vreeland, legendary Vogue editor whose career came to an abrupt end in the early 1970s, in "Full Gallop." Written by Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson, "Full Gallop" is a one-woman vehicle in which Wingert plays the style maven as she prepares for her return to society after being unceremoniously fired.

The title signals Vreeland's phoenix-like determination. The hour-long work is preceded by wine and shopping in an area of mostly women-owned businesses.

"It's an experiment," said co-producer Michelle Pett.

It's probably also a privilege.
