He's the king of overkill

Last we heard, James Cameron was delaying the release of his planned sequel trilogy to "Avatar" after realizing it's hard to plan three movies at once. Now, composer James Horner says, Cameron has accidentally written four movies! He's now hard at work cutting the material back down to three films as originally planned. We're wondering if anyone besides Cameron still cares.

Netflix is making a 13-episode series based on Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham," with Ellen DeGeneres set to produce. She promises "cutting-edge animation" for the series, set to premiere in 2018. … Viola Davis will play abolitionist Harriet Tubman in an HBO biopic. … Ridley Scott's Civil War drama "Mercy Street," the first American series on PBS in more than a decade, will star Josh Radnor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Gary Cole. It will premiere in winter 2016. … Hulu has signed an exclusive deal to stream all nine seasons of "Seinfeld." In case you don't get enough for free every day on TBS. … ABC has canceled "Revenge" after four seasons.

Captain of industry

If you're looking for Chris Evans in the next few years, don't bother. He laid out just how much time he'll spend as Captain America in an interview with Esquire: "You know, you plan around the Marvel responsibilities. You have to. We start ['Captain America: Civil War'] in a couple weeks, and then that shoots until August or something like that." Then, after a short break, he's got the two "Avengers: Infinity War" films, which will take the better part of a year to shoot: "That's going to be like nine months to shoot both movies back to back."
