Timberlake teases to major new project

Is Justin Timberlake planning a new album? He teased to a major project on Thursday with a cryptic tweet that had the Internet buzzing: "To whom it may concern ... I think I'M READY!" He then directed fans to a short clip of himself entering a recording studio.

In a voice-over, Timberlake said: "'Somebody asked me the other day, 'Are you just done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world. Look. I've only done two albums in ten years. That's the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean for me? ... "

He continues: "As close as I get to it, I don't know that I could physically torture myself that much year in and year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now. I don't want to put out anything that I feel like is something that I don't love. You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it."

He then enters a vocal booth and steps up to a microphone. There is a pause, then he says, "I'm ready."

For what remains to be seen. His website promises more information in three days. According to widespread speculation, Timberlake collaborated with Jay-Z and Beyoncé on the new album. But for what it's worth, he could be talking about a collaboration with MySpace, a company the singer-actor invested in last year.

Adele to appear at Golden Globes

Adele is coming to the Golden Globes. The executive producer of the show said the Grammy-winning singer is set to make her first post-baby appearance at Sunday's ceremony, where she is nominated for original song for the James Bond theme "Skyfall." Adele, 24, has kept a low profile since welcoming her first child, with boyfriend Simon Konecki, in October. Her single will compete at the Golden Globes with Taylor Swift's song from "The Hunger Games," Jon Bon Jovi's number from "Stand Up Guys," Keith Urban's track from "Act of Valor," and "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables."

'SO MUCH FUN': Even though he's been a star for 30 years, Tom Cruise, 50, says he still has fun making movies. Cruise was in Seoul on Thursday to promote the thriller "Jack Reacher." Appearing with director Christopher McQuarrie and co-star Rosamund Pike, Cruise said, "It was so much fun making the film." Pike said she and Cruise enjoyed good on-screen chemistry, something she said she "never thought" she'd say.

SUED: A former bodyguard for Justin Bieber sued the pop superstar on Thursday, claiming the singer repeatedly hit him during an incident last year and owes him more than $420,000 in unpaid wages.

DROPPED: A misdemeanor driving charge against retired television movie critic Gene Shalit, 86, is set to be dismissed. He was cited in October after his vehicle hit utility pole in Lenox, Mass. Shalit said he fell asleep.
