"Whitney," "Eddie Murphy: One Night Only"
The early cancellation of "Animal Practice" leaves room for the return of "Whitney" (7 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11), a sitcom that, at least in its first season, left the talented Whitney Cummings without room to maneuver. Let's hope, for her sake, that this show starts breaking convention without turning into the filthy "2 Broke Girls" (co-created by ... Whitney Cummings).A fluff story
"An Original DUCKumentary" (7 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2) begs viewers to tune in and watch some wonderful footage of these cute critters, despite the awful pun in the title. Extra points if narrator Paul Giamatti talks like Donald Duck.Murphy's law
We're well aware that Eddie Murphy hasn't been hilarious for 20 years, but there's no reason we can't celebrate his glory days by watching "Eddie Murphy: One Night Only" (9 p.m., Spike). In addition to testimonials from Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock and Tracy Morgan, look for a special duet between Murphy and Stevie Wonder.
