Gov. Tim Pawlenty's speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Washington, DC was closed to the press but a few Twitter postings allowed those outside to happened inside the private meeting.

Here's the tweet run down from @RJCHQ by someone who was tweeting on behalf of the national organization this morning:

  • Now speaking at RJC's Ldrshp meeting, Gov. (and future POTUS?) Governor Tim Pawlenty! #mn #jcot Great speech on GOP's future direction
  • Gov. Pawlenty introduced at RJC Leaders meeting by Norm Coleman. Says Gov of Fmr Sen: He's not done yet!
  • At RJC leadership meeting, Gov. Pawlenty comes out strong for education reform, esp. school choice.
  • Gov. Pawlenty at RJC - on foreign policy: to him, popularity is not as critical as security of the American people.

(For the uninitiated, Twitter allows users to post in 140-character bursts thus the abbreviations.)

Pawlenty also has private meetings in Washington today and will be in California Thursday and Friday for political work.
