The snow continues to fall and traffic continues to crawl. Gridlock just won't loosen its grip on many major routes.

Some of the slowest spots are:

  • Westbound 494 from Dodd Road to 24th Avenue and ahead from Penn Avenue to Hwy. 100.
    • Westbound 94 is a parking lot from Manning Avenue to Hwy. 280 where there is some relief. That is still nearly 1 hour.
      • Crosstown in both directions between Hwy. 169 and 35W. That trip is at 22 to 25 minutes.
        • Northbound 35W is 20 minutes from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.
          • Southbound 35W is 45 minutes from Hwy. 10 to downtown Minneapolis.
            • Southbound 494 is 45 minutes from the Fish Lake interchange to Hwy. 7. Northbound clogs up from Crosstown up to 394.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
