Web gem

Although it defines itself as a site for "urban design, culture, travel, architecture and alternative art," WebUrbanist is more than that -- it's a refuge from sound-bite snark where you can cherry-pick a topic and be assured you'll see some great photos and maybe learn something interesting. A sample: the tiniest hotel rooms in the world, cool kids' furniture, sculptures made from everyday objects, crazy tats, geeky graffiti and photo projects shaped around abandoned buildings.

You can skip most of the reader comments (a lot of sites are suffering from moronic input these days, aren't they?). There's enough content here to keep you coming back for a daily taste.
