Some of the Twins' most clutch performances of late have come from a few of their youngest players: Miguel Sano, Eddie Rosario and Tyler Duffey.

But before we dismiss the idea that it helps to have someone around who has been through the late-season grind, consider that the hottest Twin of all in the past couple of weeks is probably Torii Hunter, at age 40 easily their oldest player.

In his past 12 games, Hunter is hitting .408 with three home runs, 11 RBI and a 1.073 OPS. It followed a long second-half slump, and the turnaround has been needed.

espn hurting? ESPN is slated to lay off 200 to 300 employees soon as it aims to trim hundreds of millions of dollars from its budget, per thebiglead.com.

end for bennett? The Wolves' Anthony Bennett has gone from No. 1 overall pick to a buyout candidate in two years. It's hard to drop farther than that.
