Meghan Dolan, 15, of Minneapolis, above, spent her first six deer seasons sitting in a stand beside her father, Joe. A year ago, she took her first shot — missing on a buck. With redemption in mind and vowing not to shoot a doe, Meghan this year returned to the woods with her dad. Perched on a temporary stand in the Chippewa National Forest, she raised her .308 caliber Savage Lady Hunter when this buck strolled by about 4 p.m. on Veterans Day. She dropped it on the spot. "I have never seen her so happy and proud. … And I believe she is hooked for life," Joe Dolan said.

All three boys shot antlerless deer within an hour of each other on the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 18, about 20 miles south of Superior, Wisc. From left to right they are Gavin Lagro, 12; Kale Flemming, 11, both of Shakopee; and Henry Lagro, 11, of Bloomington.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
