Southeast Drying Out Behind Storms

The Southeast will dry out a bit today as many in the region begin to cleanup after a deadly round of severe thunderstorms. The cold front that sparkedthe storms will move slowly offshore from the East Coast as the day progresses.However, a few showers and thunderstorms will pop up along the coast thismorning.

Dry and cooler air will flow southward behind the front. This cooler airwill dip into the northern parts of the region today, reaching the Gulf Coaststates later in the weekend.
