A western Minnesota man was surprised to find less is more when it comes to renting a car. Here's what he told Whistleblower:
He traveled to Europe recently to attend the funeral of a relative. The man used an online booking agency to reserve a rental car for five days and was quoted a price of 204 euros, or about $308.
"I actually dropped the car off on ... the start of the fourth day. They billed me $449 and have informed me that being I didn't keep the car five days they had to use a higher rate. I would think it would be pro-rated to a lesser rate, rather than billing me about $141 more."
