Ponder in the playoffs? It's not far-fetched

Four years ago, Christian Ponder was the No. 12 overall pick in the NFL draft by the Vikings. That same year, he became the team's starter as a rookie. A year later, he was a starter for a team that made it to the playoffs.

From there, he's tumbled all the way to being a guy waiting for a call from teams who need QB depth. The latest to make that call was Denver, which brought him in for a workout and signed him Wednesday with Peyton Manning ailing.

Ponder's experience could put him one injured QB away from the spotlight. If Joe Webb started a playoff game, why not Ponder?
