Of course, YouTube is great, but the drawback is you don't get a lot of established mainstream TV shows or movies on it. Enter Hulu, the two-month-old venture from NBC and Fox. It offers free on-demand high-resolution video of new and old shows from both networks as well as such cable channels as Bravo, SciFi and Sundance. So, it's a great place to get your fix of "Simpsons" episodes or "Saturday Night Live" clips, but there's much more to explore. We recommend checking the half-season of "Firefly," the brilliant and short-lived space western from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon. A few hundred movies are also available. The best part is the high-res Flash Video imagery, which easily beats YouTube. Free TV and movies online? We can't wait until the other networks catch on.
