Barbara J. Chung

Chung, Barbara J. On Monday, April 15th, Barbara Jean (Larson) Chung (76) passed away at The Neighbors of Dunn County, in Menomonie, WI. Barb was born on December 10th, 1947 to Vernon & Marie (Cornish) Larson and was raised in Elk Mound, WI. After graduation in 1966, Barb started a new adventure by moving to Minneapolis, MN for Medical Technician training. She met a classmate named David Chung, who "really liked her cooking" and on June 28, 1969, they became husband and wife. Barb and David purchased their forever home of 47 years on Pleasant Ave. in Minneapolis. The Chung's loved to host neighborhood picnics in their beautiful backyard and their front porch was always full of 500 card parties and laughter. Barb loved to cook, shop for a good bargain, spoil her dogs, Fancy & Suki, travel with David, visit the nearest casino and spend time with her treasured girlfriends. Barb received her RN degree from Metropolitan Community College in 1978 and had various nursing jobs over the years, but her passions included caring for the elderly, including end of life, and assisting those struggling with chemical dependencies. Barb is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Chung; Brother, Douglas (Ann) Larson; Niece Laura (Steve) Lecheler; and Nephew Kurt Larson, all of Menomonie. Great Niece, Morgan (fiancé Derek) Lecheler; Great Nephew, Bret Lecheler; The loving Chung family siblings: Jean, Gertie (Tony) & Evanson, Canada; Daphne (Milton) and Terrance (Gloria), Ohio; and James, England; many Chung family nieces and nephews, Larson cousins and many, many dear friends. Makiah Rae Coleman

Coleman, Makiah Rae (12/4/2004 - 4/18/2024) Makiah Rae Coleman, affectionally called Bird, was 19 when the unfathomable happened. She was taken into the arms of Jesus on April 18. Her energy drew people to her. Her smile was gorgeous and infectious. Bird was a true "Rae" of light to those who knew and loved her. Bird is survived by her loving father and siblings, Grandpa John Crary, as well as her mother, Barbra, older brother Malachi, younger sister Vernia, and many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by an angel sister Keyara, and her Grandmothers Judith Crary and Bernia Coleman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 5 from 2-5pm at the Bloomington Eagles Club 9152 Old Cedar Ave S. Bird was hard-working, an amazing sibling, and her bright spirit will be forever cherished.


Catherine Louise (White) Eilers

Eilers, Catherine Louise (White) age 86 of St. Paul, passed April 26, 2024 as the sun set. Catherine loved being a mother reflected in her words, "My experiences, as a mother and grandmother, have contributed to the richness of my professional and personal life." Cathy received her RN degree at College of St Catherine, and subsequently earned with honors her bachelor's degree in social work at St. Kate's and then completed a MA in Counseling Psychology at St. Thomas University. She continued to study and expand her understanding of self and spirituality and was certified as a spiritual director at Shalem Spiritual Guidance Program in Washington D.C. and did post graduate training at the Gestalt Institute in the Twin Cities. She is preceded in death by parents, Bud and Louise White; brother, Bob (Jo) White; sisters-in-law, Darlene, and Pat White. Catherine is survived by her children, Anne (Pat) Williams; David Eilers; Pat (Jana) Eilers; Mike (Robin) Eilers; Elizabeth (Pete) Sullivan, and their father Vince Eilers, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Tom, and Jim White; sisters, Mary White OSB; and Patty (Ed) Pendleton; also by other family and friends. Maureen Ann Giblin

Giblin, Maureen Ann Was welcomed into heaven on April 28, 2024. She was born to Emmett and Lorraine Murphy in Belle Plaine, MN on July 6, 1936, and was the oldest of nine siblings: Pat, Margaret Ann, Sharon, Mary Ellen, Mike, Kevin, Dave and Dennis. She married Donald Giblin on December 27, 1958, and they had four children: Greg, Mike, Dave and Colleen (Kyle) Dupre, and three grandchildren: Grace, Rose, and Max Giblin were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Pat and Kevin. As a Reservationist for Northwest Airlines, she loved her wonderful travel benefits and fun adventures. After she raised her children, she enjoyed interacting with her accounts as a Customer Service Representative at Kraft Foods. Maureen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended Murphy family, and many dear friends. Her hobbies included traveling, playing bridge, attending musical performances at the Ordway and Orchestra Hall, and volunteering at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Maureen's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us to approach life with humor and kindness. Susan 'Sue' (Edstrom) Jubert

Jubert, Sue (Edstrom) was born in Minneapolis on January 25, 1958 and left her earthly body on April 22, 2024 at the age of 66 due to complications from dementia. She passed away peacefully with family at her side. Sue graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 1976 and attended St. Mary's Junior College (Mpls.). She obtained her RN credentials and initially worked as a hospital-based nurse in Minneapolis before spending the majority of her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as a case manager. Even as dementia gradually eroded her cognitive faculties, Sue's innate capacity for compassion and caregiving remained untouched. Despite the challenges posed by her illness, she continued to exude love and laughter with a gentle hug or smile. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pauline Edstrom. She is survived by her husband, Russ; daughters, Nicole Archer (Niko) & Heather Raines; sister, Sharon Stoltman (Robert); grandchildren, Karsten Stigsell & Sage Archer; nephews, Andrew & Ian Walesch; niece Allison Fick (James). Roxie King-Smith

King-Smith, Roxie age 81 of St. Louis Park passed away April 29, 2024. Roxie was born in 1942 and raised in St Paul, MN. She was preceded in death in June 2023 by her loving husband of 37 years, Eric King-Smith; her parents Sarah and Meyer Nemer, and brother Bruce Nemer. Survived by sister-in-law Roberta Nemer, children Gail Freedman (Reuben Lubka), Daniel Freedman (Melissa), and Ann Nelson (Stuart), and grandchildren Dawn, Emmanuel, Benjamin and Solomon Lubka. The King-Smith family also includes stepchildren Judith Uridge (George-deceased), Bernard King-Smith (Lisa), Naomi King-Smith (Todd Werner), and their children Shawn Uridge, Laura Gordon (Andrew), Theodore King-Smith (Brittany), David Werner, Arielle Wolf (Yaniv), Benjamin King-Smith (fiancé Sarah) and Jonathan Werner. Over her life Roxie enjoyed time with family and friends, theater, music and traveling to interesting places domestically and across the globe. Early on she was a preschool teacher, eventually going back to school to become an occupational therapist. She volunteered for different organizations and liked helping people. Ray Edward Miller

Miller, Ray Edward passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Thursday, March 21, 2024. Ray was known for his kindness, Godly wisdom, and subtle sense of humor. Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara McGonagle Miller, sister Anne Wenhold, children David Miller (Robyn), Heidi Monson (Dan), and Lisa Provost (Brian), 10 grandchildren and their spouses, and 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations can be made in his honor to Northridge Fellowship Youth missions. Brenda Lou (Forthun) Richards

Richards, Brenda Lou (Forthun) July 9th, 1963 - April 26th, 2024 Brenda L. Richards, age 60, passed away surrounded lovingly by family due to health issues related to stomach cancer, which she was diagnosed with in August 2023. She was born in Austin, MN to Sheldon and Beverly Forthun, and had two brothers, Jeff and Joel Forthun. She graduated from Shakopee High School in 1981 and attended UW-River Falls from 1981-1985. She married Thomas Richards in 1989, and they had two sons, Robert and Daniel. She worked predominantly in the insurance industry, but her favorite position she had was that of Church Secretary at her longtime church, Glory of Christ in Plymouth, MN. She was very strong in her faith, and was incredibly kind, caring, and loving to anyone that knew her. She always put others before herself and was remarkably selfless. If you were family or a friend of hers, she loved and cared for you, and you felt that in every interaction. She loved her husband, Tom, and her sons, Robbie and Danny - her "boys" - more than anything in the world, and she was overjoyed that both of them got married three months apart, to Kaitlin (Robbie's wife) and Maria (Danny's wife), whom she loved like they were her own daughters. She will be incredibly missed but left an amazing example of how you should live life. Preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon and Beverly Forthun, and brother-in-law Michael Richards (Marcia). She is survived by her husband, Tom; sons Robert (Kaitlin) and Daniel (Maria); brothers Jeff (Diane) and Joel (Barbara); in-laws Bruce (Mary), Paul Richards and Susie Rell; nieces and nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 from 5-8 pm, and the funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 4th, 2024, with a visitation preceding the funeral at 10 am. Roudebush, Natsy Betty Natsy, 92, of Savage, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 25, 2024. She was born on July 1st, 1931 to Bennie and Nettie Mitling of Montevideo, Minnesota. Leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our beloved brother in Christ, Denis Shesterkin, who peacefully passed away on April 25th at the age of 82. His life was a radiant reflection of profound generosity, integrity, and unwavering faith.

Though an engineer by profession, Denis's true vocation lay in the way he lived out his faith with respect, patience, and helpfulness. His home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, a testament to his love for those around him.

Denis epitomized honesty and integrity, touching lives with his sincerity and compassion. His gentle spirit and genuine concern for others were a beacon of comfort and strength in times of need.

He leaves behind his cherished wife of 47 years, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a wide circle of friends who will dearly miss his wise counsel and gentle spirit. Yet, Denis's legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Denis's journey was a testament to his unwavering faith and enduring love for others. While we mourn his loss, his legacy of kindness and devotion will forever inspire those who had the privilege to know him.

A celebration of Denis's life will be held on Monday, May 6th, 2024, we will come together to honor and celebrate the life of Denis. The memorial service will be held at Huber Funeral Homes, located at 16394 Glory Lane in Eden Prairie, MN 55344, beginning at 11 AM, with visitation starting one hour prior. Following the service, a lunch reception will be provided. Afterward, interment will take place at Grand View Park Cemetery in Hopkins, MN., where loved ones will gather to honor a man who truly walked in the light of Christ. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature have left an indelible mark on many hearts.

Denis's journey through life was a testament to his profound faith and his enduring love for others. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him.

Nancy Lee (Farhet) Stevenson

Stevenson, Nancy Lee (Farhet) 5/10/45 - 4/22/24 It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nancy Lee Stevenson, 78, on 4/22/24 in Bloomington, MN. She was born on 5/10/45 in New Jersey, to Charles and Frances Stevenson. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a cherished friend to many. She had a passion for life, family, friends, and travel and was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and class. Nancy moved to MN in the mid-60's where she graduated from Winona State University and spent 25+ years as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. After retiring from the airlines, Nancy turned business entrepreneur and created beautiful butterfly art called Butterflies by Nancy and was one of the original retail stores at the Mall of America when it first opened in 1992, and she then opened her second store a few years later at the famous Pier 39 in San Francisco. When she moved on from that adventure, Nancy became a casino host at Mystic Lake Casino where she met so many wonderful friends not only locally, but from around the world. She is survived by her sons Bill (Jozette) Farhet, Chris (Michele) Farhet, granddaughters Kimberly and Rebecca Farhet, step grand kids Jasmine and Devin Robinson, sister Patricia Stevenson (Jim) from Florida, sister-in-law Diane Stevenson, nephew Scott (Julia) Stevenson, and great nieces Elena and Kiera from New Jersey. Toushin, David age 79, of St. Paul and Minneapolis, died April 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Sally Izek Toushin; parents, Zelda and Victor; and brother, Charles. Sandra Lee Weber

Weber, Sandra Lee 83, of Bradenton, FL (formerly Edina, MN) passed on April 17, 2024. Born on June 16, 1940, in Ringwood, NJ to parents, Phyllis and Emil Krommer, she married her husband, Richard, on October 1, 1960, and they shared 63 wonderful years together.

   Sandy was a sophisticated, intelligent, beautiful, caring, and fun lady and was a dedicated volunteer and an accomplished tennis player, ranked in the USTA into her 70's. She is survived by her husband, Richard Weber; her children Kim (Walt) Weyler, Kristine Ferry, and Eric (Liam) Weber; and by her seven grandchildren: Jessica, Kassi, Sarah, Ashley, Jack, Matt and Tim.

   She will be greatly missed by so many people. A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held on May 4th in Bradenton, FL.
