Survived by son, Steven (Angela) of Eagan; daughter, Mary Bongard of Eagan; grandchildren, Eric Bongard (Kristine) of Shakopee, Jason, Ryan, Katherine, and Alyssa Gehlen, all of Eagan; great-granddaughter, Claire Bongard; brother, John Gehlen (Jean) of New Prague; sisters, Angela Peterson (Ralph) of Rochester, Margaret Rhiel (Floyd) of Durand, WI; second wife, Margaret LeMay-Gehlen. Preceded in death by wife, Lorraine; son, Ronald Thomas; parents, Godfrey & Margaret; 2 brothers & 3 sisters. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shakopee. Interment Catholic Cemetery in Shakopee. Visitation Sunday from 4-7 PM, with K of C Rosary 6:30 PM at the Cavanaugh-McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 E. 3rd Ave., Shakopee.
