Sorokurs Stanley I. Sorokurs, 70, of Guntersville, AL, died on November 7, 2002 after a long illness. A native of Mpls, he was an Eagle Scout and one of the first Twin Cities recipients of Scoutings Ner Tamid award. A 1950 graduate of North High, he attended U of M's Institute of Technology and worked as an industrial engineer. The family moved to Orlando in 1970 to be near his mother & sisters. After retiring from the industrial metals business in 1996, Stan and his wife moved to Guntersville. He is survived by his loving wife, Dean; children, Julie, Mark, Bill; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Srour, Millicent Kopman; and many nieces and nephews.
