Dorothy Gladys Swedberg

Swedberg Dorothy Gladys, born June 8, 1914, died December 24, 2001. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Clara Swedberg; brothers, Carl, Wilfred and Edwin. Survived by brother, Gordon (Regina); sisters, Mildred (Stanley), Ellen, Mable (Elmer), Evelyn (Erik), Crystal (Leland); and by many loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy has been a caregiver all her life. She devoted her life to her Lord and to helping others. At a young age, after her mother's death, she cared for her younger siblings. After sister Mable came down with polio in the Fall of 1953, she moved in and became part of the family. She helped Elmer and Mable raise their three children and helped to provide care for Mable for 48 years. She will be lovingly missed by family and friends. Memorials to East Immanuel Lutheran Church (St. Paul), World Mission Prayer League or donor's choice. Service Saturday 11:00 AM at EAST IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1173 Payne Avenue.
