Fenstad Orval R., longtime resident and former Mayor of Mound, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 23, 2001. South High Graduate and attended University of MN. Longtime grocery business owner. Member of Lake Minnetonka Conservation District. Orval was a member of the Mound Masonic Lodge and was the Master in 1985, and held many other offices. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, and a member of the Mpls Zuhra Shrine. Was a member of the Minnetonka Order of Eastern Star #271 where he held the office of Worthy Patron many times, and other offices. Recipient of the Hiram Award. Orval was a proud and worthy servant, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Orval Jr. & Margaret Fenstad of Dallas, TX, Gerald & Mary Jo Fenstad of Shoreview; daughters & sons-in-law, LaVonne & Don David of Longville, Cheryl & Jack Barnes of Victoria; grandchildren, Vicki Holden (William), Jodi Baylerian (James), Gregory Fenstad, Nancy Schulte (Ted), William David, James David (Sandra), Steven David (Heidi), Anthony Fenstad (Beth), Heather Fenstad, Jack Barnes & Jordan Barnes; great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Steve and Troy Holden, Nuri & Ara Baylerian, Maddie Schulte, Nicholas Fenstad, Katie & Michael David, Alyssa & Erika Fenstad; sister-in-law, Winnie Anderson of Mpls.; brother-in-law, Merlin Strand of Bloomington; nieces and nephews.
