Evelyn Margaret Peterson (nee Bierbaum), age 91 of Mpls, formerly of Crookston; McAllen, TX; and Villa Park, IL. Born October 8, 1911, in Eyota, MN to Edward Peter Bierbaum and Clara Mary Schmidt Bierbaum. She grew up in Clearbrook, MN as the oldest of 10 children. Evelyn worked for the University of Minnesota Extension Service by starting 4-H clubs all over Minnesota beginning in 1930. From 1936 to 1940 she was a social worker in Marshall and Polk counties. Evelyn was Minnesota State Director of ``Make It Yourself With Wool'' contests from 1968 to 1978. She was a foods, clothing and demonstration judge at counties all over northwest Minnesota. She married G. Milford Peterson of Warren, MN, April 20th, 1941 and had 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She died at Jones Harrison Residence in Mpls. She loved to travel, visiting to 54 countries. Evelyn returned to her home state of Minnesota for her final days. Preceded in death by her husband, G. Milford Peterson; and siblings, Lloyd, Vilas, Valierie, Wesley, Vincent, Wayne, and Curtis. Survived by children, Margaret Peterson, Virginia (Don) Olson, and Keith (Kathryn) Peterson; grandchildren, Karl, Peter, Sara, and Eric; brother, Keith (Luise) Bierbaum; and sister, Blanch Mund. Memorial service Sunday, January 5, 2 PM, St. Paul Lutheran Church, 545 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, IL 60181. Memorials to Northwest School of Agriculture Alumni Assoc. at U of M, Crookston.
