Logan Maris J. Logan, 62, of Sturdivant Rd, Cumberland Foreside, Maine, died Nov. 23, 2002 at Maine Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in Peoria, IL on Nov. 30, 1939, daughter of Elmer Jacques Bloom & Mariesta Dodge Howland Bloom. Mrs. Logan graduated from Ferry Hall School, Lake Forest and Smith College. She married Donald S. Logan on Sept. 11, 1965 and made their home of 32 years in Wayzata, MN until 3 years ago when they moved to Maine. Mrs. Logan spent her time working on a number of charities in Mpls., including serving on the Board of the United Way and The Children's Theatre Company as well as fundraising for the Mpls. Orchestra Hall, the YWCA and the Mpls. Art Institute. Mrs. Logan was a descendent of John Howland and Elder Brewster of the Mayflower and a member of the Society of Mayflower Desecendents, The Pilgrim John Howland Society, as well as the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. She is survived by her husband, Donald; 2 sons, Prescott Howland Logan and Donald Stuart Logan Jr.; and 1 daughter, Mary Stuart Logan. A memorial service will be held Jan. 10, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Arrangements under Hay & Peabody Funeral Home, Portland, Maine.
