Helen Erickson

Erickson Helen, 89, Nisswa, MN, died Dec. 2, 2002 at home. She was born Aug. 18, 1913 in Swanville, MN to John G. & Emilia A. (Polonec) Staricka. She married Wallace N. Erickson on June 30, 1938 in Osage, IA. They lived in Mpls., where she worked as a molding press operator for McCourtney Plastics. Upon retirement, they moved to Nisswa in 1980. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa. Survivors include her son, Wally Erickson, Nisswa; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ernest Staricka, Raymond, WA & Andrew Staricka, Swanville, MN; 2 sisters, Betsy Miller, Mpls. & Ella ``Ellie'' Solberg, Bloomington. Her husband, daughter, Marlene Gentry, parents, 2 sisters, Emily Pratorius & Martha Argetsinger, and brother, Donald Staricka preceded her in death. Services 11:00 AM, Sat., Dec. 7, Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Nisswa. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Sat. at church.
