Charles William Delany

Delany Charles William Delany, 90 years old, born Jan. 26, 1912, died Sept. 29, 2002 in Costa Mesa, CA. He was laid to rest in a private ceremony by nephews, John & George Delaney and wives, Susan & Alice; friends, James & Arlene McGuy and Mr. & Mrs. Tom Okamoto at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, CA. He was a graduate of Ascension Catholic & De La Salle High School in Mpls., MN. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hazel. They had no children. Chuck was a WWII Marine Corps veteran. He completed a 20 year career while stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, CA in 1962 and promptly went to work at the Orange County Sheriff's Dept. After retiring from the Sheriff's Dept., he devoted his time to ``yard'' and golf. He was a 27 year member and contributor to the Fleet Reserve Assoc. and will be remembered by his ``shipmates'', family & friends as a cordial, caring and generous man
