Viola Ree (Gunderson) Willeford

Willeford Viola Ree (Gunderson) Willeford, 81 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at a local hospital. She was born to Ole Bernard & Emily Jane (Younce) Ree in Mpls., MN on March 23, 1921. She married Aaron Willeford in Kerrville on June 30, 2001. Mrs. Willeford was a credit union manager of the Northrup King & Co. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was very active there. Survivors include her husband, Aaron Willeford of Kerrville; daughter, Cheryl Stranahan & her husband Charles of Arlington, TX; sister, Evelyn E. Jacob of San Diego, CA; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Granning & Nell Gunderson, both of Mpls.; brother-in-law, Bud Murphy of Mpls.; 2 grandchildren, Chad Countryman & wife Kelly and Amy Wigness & husband David. She was preceded in death by sons, G.W. Gunderson, Jr. & Stephen Leon Gunderson. A memorial service will be held, Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor David C. Chancellor officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Friends are invited to come by the family residence on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 from 4-6 PM at 2114 A West Lane in Kerrville.
